Blewbury is blessed by having six cob walls- these are a unique feature of the village – in fact Blewbury is the only village in the country to have as many as 6 cob walls, which are Saxon in origin.
Five of the cob walls are privately owned and maintained. However, the Curtoys Lane Cob Wall (near the Blewbury Green/play close) is not owned by anyone. Hence some 37 years ago a Cob Wall committee was formed and funds raised to maintain it. The cob wall is now in a bad state and is in need of urgent repair. So would you like to contribute to supporting this amazing feature in Blewbury. If so please donate to this great cause so we don’t lose this piece of British heritage.
