98. Blewbury is noted for the longevity of its inhabitants. The photograph on the inside front cover shows Mrs. Susanna Richardson on her 100th birthday in 1904. There is a plaque to her memory, and that of her son, W.H. Richardson, above the pulpit in the church. Her hundredth birthday was welcomed by a set of Grandsire Doubles on the church bells
