53. The gentlemen in the back row are Joe Green, Harry Middleton (then Range Warden at Churn and later landlord of the Red Lion) and Herbert Leach. Those seated are George Pepall, James Hearn, Daniel Maizey, and Wilfred Aldridge. The person sitting cross legged is Joe Maizey. The photograph must have been taken around 1912 because Wilfred Aldridge who lost a leg in the Great War also appears in number 55 at the age of six. The picture was taken at the back of what is now the Old Wheelwrights.
