Peter Ritson

I moved to Blewbury in 2004.  My art teacher at St. Birinus was the late Roy East who was a well-known local artist and well respected teacher.

Since leaving school in 1976 I didn’t find the time to paint, with a very busy work schedule and then a family of my own.  However a week before lockdown in March 2020 I had an operation and was restricted from lifting or stretching for 12 long weeks, so I started to draw and this developed into painting and I have painted ever since.
