Ballet - Downland Dance

Ballet classes are held in the Village Hall of East Hagbourne and The West Wing Studio (Coxeter House, Abingdon). The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is followed and classes are open to boys and girls aged three and older, with no upper age limit for adults. Opportunities exist for taking exams and performing. The 2016 autumn term started on Sept. 3rd -- term dates roughly fit in with the school year though the advanced and adult classes usually continue throughout the holidays. In addition, there are week-long intensive courses in the Easter and summer breaks. This term a new class has been started for children aged 7 to 11 (approx) who have missed out on the syllabus of the early years.

Brass Band

A friendly welcoming village band with a tradition of musical involvement with the local community stretching back over a century. Rehearsals every Wednesday evening.

Choir - BlewSing

The choir always sings for pleasure and from time to time enjoy working towards a polished performance. There are no auditions and no requirement to read music. Sessions are held fortnightly on Thursday evenings at the Clubhouse (Recreation Ground). Sessions start at 8 p.m. and finish at 10 p.m.

Keyboard Society

16a Barnes Close, Didcot

The Didcot and Area Keyboard Society is for any music lover who plays an electric keyboard or piano. It meets every other Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

Poetry Group

Blewbury Poetry Group meets the first Wednesday in every month at 7.30 pm at the Benefice Centre.

Stage School

Forbes Theatre Arts Dancing, singing and acting classes for children from 5 to 16 in separate groups. Professional and experienced teachers. CRB checked. Meets Ladygrove Community Centre, 10 am to 12 noon, Saturday mornings during term time.

Theatre - Blewbury Players

The Blewbury Players present, promote and support a wide range of plays, operas, recitals, workshops and other creative and performance events of the highest standard with and for the community.
