Blewbury Village Hall now has 2 electric vehicle fast charging points (being modelled by Penny Brassell in the picture). Each charger provides 22kW.
These are located outside the Post Office and cost 49p/kWh plus 30p per session, payable by app or credit card.
Thanks go to Lee Robinson from the BPC, and to OCC for providing a grant to subsidise the installation.
It’s exciting to see the work starting to build our very own skatepark.
Please note that during the works, there is a reduction in capacity in the car park by Tickers Folly Field, as some space will be
used by materials and machinery. We expect the work to be completed by the middle of July (2026!)
Sunday 28th June, 5.30–7.30pm, St Michael’s Church.
Songs will be popular and traditional and there will be guest performances. Tickets are available from the Blewbury Post Office and Choir members. Tickets £12 for adults – £8 for
children under 18 – which includes a glass of wine/soft drink. A proportion of the profit will be going to local charities.
Saturday 27th June, Ashbrook House garden.
The annual Summer Dance will take place on Saturday 27th June in the garden of Ashbrook House, with music from the brilliant Too Much Stuff (you may remember them from previous Halloween discos and Beer Festivals). This is a great evening to get together with your village friends and beyond, to enjoy “bring your own” food and drink in beautiful surroundings, listen and dance to great live music.
Gazebo set up 4–5pm Saturday; collect by 11am Sunday.
A screen will be available to show the 10pm England–Panama group match. In the event of inclement weather, the Dance will move to the Village Hall.

20th and 25th May – Vale Room
In advance of The Motley Crew’s visit to Stratford at the end of May, Chris Whatmore will be giving an introductory talk – twice! – on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. While it’s primarily designed for those coming on the trip, anyone with an interest the Bard’s final solo-authored play is welcome to join us at 7.30pm in the Vale Room, either on Wednesday May 20th or on Monday May 25th (Bank Holiday Monday). No need for tickets, but there will be a nominal £2 charge at the door to cover venue hire costs, plus an extra £1 for an interval drink.
