I’ve compiled the September Bulletin from Gretna, just over the Scottish border, during my long walk from Blewbury to Islay. To date we’ve walked 489 miles, climbed 1.8 times the height of Everest and raised £8,742 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of Blewbury resident Susan Fletcher Watts. Many thanks to all those who’ve already donated. We’re due to finish on 1st September, but do have a look at www.miles2malts.com for our daily blogs, Track of the Day and the story of our journey – and of course, all further donations would be hugely welcome. The picture shows me on Striding Edge in the Lake District, the steepest part of the walk so far. Neville Hargreaves
